Privacy policy

What Yaitro collects when you plan a trip, why, who helps us run the service, and how to see or delete your data.

Who we are

Yaitro (yaitro.com) is an online trip planner run by Kunj Bihari, Bayana, Rajasthan, India. In this policy, “we” means Yaitro. We follow India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only as a secure hash, never readable).
  • Your trips: where you start and go, dates, number and ages of travellers, budget, preferences, the plans we make, your chat messages to change a plan, and expenses you add in Settle Up.
  • Plan together: when you invite friends, what they add to the shared plan. Budgets stay private; others see only a count.
  • Your location: only if you tap “use my location”, and only to fill in where your trip starts.
  • Payments: the product, amount, date and Razorpay’s order and payment IDs. Your card, UPI or bank details go straight to Razorpay; we never see or store them.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and error logs, used to keep the service secure and working.

Why we use it

  • To make, change and save your trip plans, and to share a plan when you choose to.
  • To sign you in, verify your email, and send messages you need (sign-up codes, your plan, payment receipts).
  • To take payments and give you what you paid for.
  • To stop abuse and keep the service running and secure.

We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads or use ad trackers.

Who helps us run the service

We share only what each needs to do its job:

  • Hosting and database: Vercel, Render and Neon.
  • Maps and places: Google Maps Platform, Wikidata and Wikipedia, for sights, opening hours, routes and photos. Travel data providers for trains and flights receive the route and dates searched.
  • AI text: an AI provider writes and edits plans from your trip details and chat messages. It never receives your password or payment details.
  • Email: an email delivery provider sends our emails.
  • Payments: Razorpay, under its own privacy policy.

We may also share data when the law requires it.

What stays in your browser

We use your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember small choices, such as a shared link you opened. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and trips, until you delete them or ask us to.
  • Place details from Google, no longer than Google allows (30 days), then refreshed or removed.
  • Payment records, as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time. To delete your account and trips, email support@yaitro.com from the email address on your account. We act within 30 days.

Security

Data travels over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is limited. No service is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Children

Yaitro is for adults. Children can be included in a trip as travellers, but an adult must hold the account.
